What inspires me to create is mainly based on personal experiences from the past to the present, I find myself needing a creative outlet to express my feelings and creating art is a way that I can productively do so and enjoy whilst doing. Some common themes in my art I’ve noticed currently would be Queerness, Identity, Bodies, Expression and Abstraction. My main materials are very accessible to me and I enjoy the simplicity and resourcefulness of using them, they would be pens (general ink pens), fine liners, grey leads, acrylic paints, cardboard and paper (sculptural); However materials and techniques I’ve loved using when I’ve had easier access to would be charcoal, Lino printing and cardboard printing. In the future, I hope my practice will lead me to more widely sharing my works with people and connecting with fellow artists, I’d love to see the reach my art style could have and ideally I’d love to build my career in the visual arts industry.
