As artist’s we are driven by the possibilities of our work and the impulses of what could come next. Once we create something new the fire within me is fuelled to create something even more improbable and grabbing than the last piece. I strive for that point of difference that sets me apart from parallel artists. This in its self is a beautifully gratifying journey that’s masked in the best kind of soul searching self-questioning. As someone who craves perfection and order in everyday life; art using inks pushes me to let go of my preconceived boundaries and accept the uncontrolled which has been incredibly soothing for my inner self and therefore my art is most definitely my meditation.
My art is created with one goal only. To seduce each viewer through different emotional frequencies. Each colour has its own vibration; similar to how each sound has its own wavelength which once viewed provokes a strong emotional reaction. Each artwork creates a very different energy depending on whether it contains all one colour or many colours and then the type of energy they emit will depend on what exactly those colours are and how they behave with each other.
It’s this beautiful notion that drives me to continue my endeavor to discover and perfect my art.
